Autonomous is the founding Autonomous Base Collective (ABC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes, we work alongside our neighbors to replace class relations — meaning any structural difference in social, political, or economic power — with classless, self-governing communities. Through Catalysism, mutual aid, community-led social research, educational media production, and open-source digital tools (CMMNS), we build the shared skills, resources, and supportive conditions communities need for self-determination.

All of our educational guides, digital platforms, workshops, and mutual aid programs are provided to the general public free of charge, with a focus on underserved communities in Pennsylvania. We never charge fees for our services or select beneficiaries on a discriminatory basis; direct mutual aid and resource distribution are prioritized solely by self-identified need.

While our full website, publishing stream, and methods library are under construction, our work continues. Reach out to us in the way that fits your needs:

• Request Community Support (For Neighbors & Community Members): Contact us if you or your neighbors in Philadelphia need material resources, tool or equipment repair, conflict mediation, or community safety support. All support is provided free of charge based on need through mutual aid and solidarity.
• Volunteer on Our Projects (For Individuals Pitching In): Contact us if you're an individual looking to contribute your time, hands, or skills to our public programs and working groups. While all of our programs and resources serve the general public openly, internal governance of Autonomous ABC is stewarded by an invitation-only working collective operating without bosses or hierarchy — we don't use paper membership applications, and everyone who stewards the collective starts by volunteering on real community work.
• Partner or Co-Design a Project (For Collectives, Organizations & Initiatives): Contact us if you represent an independent group, collective, or community organization looking to co-design a local project, share resources, co-host a free public workshop, or explore fostering an Autonomous Base Collective (ABC).
